"The Facebook “Creator’s Lounge” at this years 2017 Vidcon Conference was all about providing an environment for “creators” to get away from the mayhem of the overall event, and have a space to chill out and produce their original content.  The challenge for us as the design and fabrication team was to create an oasis in the middle of a bustling convention center, a place that was capable of transporting people to another experiential world.  The vibe was Parker Palm Springs-like in a way, with real palm trees, boxwood hedges, fire pits, pergolas, and mid mod furniture sprinkled in small knock like areas to transport guests to another place. "When Airbnb Open LA brought thousands of hosts to downtown Los Angeles this November, we were honored to design one of the highlights: an installation devoted to transformative travel experiences. Taking over the 4,000-sq. ft. BNKR flagship store, a street-level storefront in a 99-year-old Beaux Arts building, we developed vignettes reflecting words in various languages that Airbnb guests have used to describe their stays around the world. Unexpected elements—some found, some repurposed, some custom-built—contributed to a playful atmosphere..."

"We had a blast at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival YouTube venue, and were fortunate enough to collaborate with Say OK and the Civic Entertainment Group to make it all happen. This years YouTube venue highlighted YouTube Red and the original content it produces..."

For Global Addicts, I was production designer on this fun short film for the opening of Le Grand Pigalle-  A beautiful boutique hotel designed by Dorothee Meilichzon.

One week before opening their doors to the public the guys behind Le Grand Pigalle thought it would be a good idea to hand us the keys to their hotel. An entire building all to ourselves with no adult supervision...hmmmm...throwing an all night pop-up rave did cross our minds but instead we made this video. Thanks to our Paris based team for pulling this off. Leo Schrepel (director), Martin Darondeau (writer, lobby boy), Maud Barrandon (madam), Charles Darnaud (sound) and from LA Jillian Kliewer (production design). A special thanks goes out to everyone at Le Grand Pigalle especially Romee De Goriainoff, Olivier Bon, Pierre-Charles Cross, Mathieu Alfandari and Valeriya Savchuk.

We shot this film because we love everything the boys do. Romee, Olivier and Pierre-Charles are the same guys behind some of our favorite spots in Paris/London/NYC including the Experimental Cocktail Club, Beef Club and Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels. The Grand Pigalle is a boutique hotel in SoPi, one of Paris' best neighborhoods.  More importantly I would be willing to bet their beds are nicer than anything you sleep on at home. Check them out the next time you're in Paris.  See the making of here:
